This is a repost of a post I wrote almost 2 years ago. I had some fixing I needed to do and reposting was the only way to do that. Anyway, it fits with the other post I posted today, so there you go.
It's been a couple of weeks now that I found my self a little farm selling raw milk
right here near my doorstep. We don't live in a farm community so the came to
be quite a surprise. Who knew! Turns out the land seems to have been built up
and developed around this tiny farm making it a truly hidden gem. We were so
exited to go and see the cows and to witness the milking. Very soon there will be
a new calf for us to meet. There's nothing better than learning where
your food really comes from. I feel much better actually knowing where it comes from too.
I have been on somewhat of a crusade to get my food as locally as possible and
as fresh as possible. I have also found a source for fresh eggs and we hope to
visit the chickens soon! In case you're wondering, yes, these things cost a bit
more than your average grocery store but it is totally worth it to me. The
quality is so much better and if it means using a bit less and not wasting as
much than that's o.k with me. If you would like to know more about the
benefits of raw milk there are several websites to go to. I found my little
farm here.
