After a long a very rainy spring we are finally having some warm days here. Actually it has been HOT like near 90 degrees. So the plants are growing and also the weeds which I am doing my best to keep under control. Our garden has been unused for many years and so was greatly overrun with weeds. This fall we covered it with newspapers and leaves and that has helped a lot. So we have quite a bit growing now and can't wait to see how it all turns out. Unfortunately I found yesterday that all of our lettuce had been eaten! I will have to see what I can do about that. Those darn pesky rabbits.
On my way back to the garden I pass this lovely little peony bush. I added 2 more next to it this year but they are too tiny yet for flowers. I think these have to be my favorite flowers, along with Lilacs.
I am trying to figure out what the white flowering bushes I keep seeing around are, I am also seeing them in yellow. I will have to take some pictures next time I see them. Now that I found my camera that shouldn't be a problem. Which reminds me I need to make some kind of camera strap so I can keep it around my neck.
